  3. Northern Rangers 3 - Somerset 2

In a well fought battle between the teams after many good missed opportunities by Rangers, Somerset put the pressure on Rangers going 2 in front before half-time. Shortly after the restart Rangers with the wind behind the shortly puled a goal back through Bec Wheatley followed quicklly be another to level the scores then in a good combinaition of passing from Rangers front players saw Aylia Short find the back of the net making it 3-2 in Rangers favour wihich it remained to the end of the game.

  4. Well done to the teams who got to play at the weekend,Devonport girls some who travelled 140klm arrived at the ground hoping to play a game ,only to be told by the ref the ground was unfit to play on,jumped in his car and disappeared ,UTas girls were stripped and ready to play,Devonport needed the game as their rivals were playing over town on a ground in similar condition.
How are we ever going to change the perception of the womens game when they are not treated the same as the males,I can't believe they would turn up to a mens game say it's unfit to play on then take off, without consultation with both coaches etc.
Just another dissapointment in what has been a frustrating season for the Strikers,But we won't give THEM! the title without a fight.

  5. Sentinal, how frustrating for this to happen. WHAT IS GOING ON!? Why didn't the ref. talk to both coaches, maybe a compromise would have been the right outcome, why couldn't you move to another ground. Sad that this happens in PREMIER LEAGUE FOOTBALL. Do the men go through the same thing? I think not. Presidents get off you Saturday High Chair & support these players. No wonder people are talking about leaving mid season..Very Sad. Support goes along way.
