  1. If Chance is correct and Sharks need only one point to secure a top 4 finish, then maybe a nil all draw will suit both Knights and Sharks this week, so I will settle on that as my tip?

Burnie will need to be at their best against a fast midfield like Riverside, I am tipping a 1 - 1 draw (also helps Sharks)?

I think Rangers should take the points easily at Launnie, 4 - 0 to the Gers?

Devonport at full strength should easily account for City, 5 - 0 to the Strikers?

  3. knights and sharks to provide the only game that the scoreline (winner) isnt already known.this games result may be determined by the availabilities for the trip east for the sharks and wether tim claxton plays and if matty sessay makes a cameo appearance. a very good young riverside to play the emus out of their contest 3-0,devonport to continue the dominance of the home with city struggling by 5-0,and with rangers you can write your ticket.

  4. knights and sharks a huge game. In my experience the sharks travel very well regardless of who they have available. Both sides depleted but still playing ok at the moment. I'll tip a draw...possibly scoreless (but we haven't seen one all yr???)

River very good at the back...organised and strong but a very toothless attack, can't see river scoring more than 2...even tho the emus struggle down back! River will control the ball but struggle for a 1-0 win unless the Hughes boys push forward and score.

Dev will do it easy over city, 4-0 minimum!

Similar story with rangers and lonny utd...utd to get EVERYONE behind the ball in the first 45 and kick for touch (as they do against good sides) and be in it at 0-0 half time but won't survive the full 90. 3-0 Rangers

  6. somewhat flattering for knights over the entirity of the game.played the second half with ten men and a ref that seemed to see things after that. sharks looked dangerous early, and i personally felt that they looked the goods.a silly centre forward that likes running through keepers that have their bodies exposed for me was a low light. pickers got a couple in a green patch for knights , but after that it was a hard slog.somewhat flattered but ill take all three.any other scores?

  7. In reserves:

    Devonport 7 - 1 Launceston City

Now the young D'port team need only account for Launceston Utd next week to see them win the clubs first reserves premiership for a number of years!

  8. At least with the top 4 this year there are some meaningful games for the likes of Somerset, Prospect, Ulverstone & Riverside. I'm pretty sure this time last year there were some pretty dodgy results as numbers dropped off at training and plenty of under 18's were running around in seniors.

  10. In Reply to Beckam "a silly centre forward". If you dont like watching a contact sport go watch netball. As a player who has played in goals and have had the samething happen to myself, I expected to be challenged like that collecting a cross and would be surprised if any stricker would just let a keeper catch the ball uncontested. I dont think the two challenges on the keeper that day was bad just two players going for the ball and they were from two different players not just one silly forward. And the one late in the second half the keeper milked big time because there was one minute to go and he was doing water it takes to win a game of football. Other than that it was a good hard physical game like it always is against Prospect. Shame about the ref it could of been better(red card? Our Goal?.....)

  11. yeah i recognise that the silly centre forward was the first one. but if you think that there were two situations that were worth commenting on then maybe you and i should see if we can get a discount at the netball.
thought the second incident was just as you explained it,there certainly were differant players involved and differant purposes ,certainly the keepers response was related to the lost time clock for the later challenge ,in my opinion not so for the first by the player whom appeared to be playing as the centre forward.anyway some of those girls at the netball might just hold our interest for more than a fleeting moment.good luck in the final four as i still thing your promotion of your juniors is great, and i dont believed forced upon you, as younger players have featured for a number of years. cheers .

  13. I still Think The challenge on the keeper wasnt that bad i would contest it the same in any other games as the keeper only got his hand there just before my head would of. The was no elbows or knees colliding and the GK seemed ok when i helped him up. I think there were worst takles in that game than that and maybe the keepers are too protect these days. As the late comment i bkoke my foot at work on Tuesday so there should be another baby shark getting a run and hopefully in the finals aswell.
