  1. If Somersets defence is anything like it was against Dev, then Rangers should get the win! Whatever the case it should be a good game - Rangers 3-1!

    Tilford 1-0!

  2. Cant see Clarence holding a candel to Zebs, Zebs will smash em and walk into the final!

Rangers getting close to full strength again, so hope they can do the job. Somerset always up for a game with Rangers, so will be tight! Come on bad boy, you know you want to comment!

Any chance you will make an appearance this week? i'll buy ya a beer!

  3. Finally go back to work on Tuesday Captain Australia, been off since mid March. Still can't stand too long on leg (this is the only game though, so may get through it)? Not sure if I can watch the boys after letting them down?

I would be extremely frustrated not being able to make moves etc, but I may get there this week as it is always a great match between the two teams?

    As for tips, if Crosswell plays I tip 3 - 1 Zebra's, if he doesn't Clarence 1 - 0.

    Sharks 4 - 3 on penalties :)

  4. Good to see The Captain and Bad Boy on good terms. Is it the quiet before the STORM?Bad Boy you have not let your boys down as you had to do what you did but by saying that you undermine the stand in coach who is having some bad luck
with all the injuries your team has.2 or 3 good players out make a lot of difference.heavy ground and rain as forecast should be in Sharks benefit.Should be a great game that could go either way and if I was down that way I would have loved to watch it.

  5. Logan - Definitely not undermining Nick, Sam and Rod (seniors coaching staff), they have done terrifically with what we have had recently, far better than I would have for sure.

Your suggestion of 2 or 3 out has been a real underestimation as against Launceston we only had 3 or 4 regular senior players, and the squad we had against the Gers was no where near our best, I rest my case.

As for my comment above, if you know me, I get frustrated watching Man U and Ferguson not making moves, his team selection and formations etc, (I even abuse myself over moves I did or didn't make during games I coach) :) So imagine how hard it is for me to watch the team that I started with if they lose, play poorly or others make comments about them (I still hold the lads in high esteem and am proud of each and every one of them), I feel terrible enough as it is, I have let them down, and I still feel that I shouldn't have, as I hate quitters and have never left anything unfinished before???

Anyway, I finally get back to work next week (if doctor allows), so I cannot risk aggravating my leg this weekend and will probably spend another few days resting on the couch again, but may slip down to the ground for the second half and a few beers with the boys after the match, and of cause my "new mate" Captain Australia :)

  6. Thanks for the explanation Bad Boy as your previous comments were not very clear.I do have the same feeling watching Man.Utd sometimes but accept that he has been there a long time and successful and knows what he is doing. However he is also human and makes mistakes. All the best for saturday and hope you make it there and celebrate.

  8. No luck chance, Rangers too good, simply wanted it more today.
A goal fest though 5-3, Rangers up 3 quick and missed a penalty before Sharks started to fight back.
Good size crowd and a heavy pitch.

  9. State final will be KGV Aug 22nd.

I had a lenghty discussion with FFT yesterday as it was my understanding that it was the Norths turn to host the final. Anyway Hobart it is Rangers heading down on the big bus!

  10. Have been taking the State Premiership year about (North South), probably be different this year with the final 4 format, not sure on cup final though, its generally in the South but when we played City they allowed us a neutral ground in Valley Road, as they say KGV is also neutral when we play there???

  11. Best of luck Rangers Pres and Gers, hopefully get far enough in front in the final to give the "Captain" a run, he deserves to get game time in "the big one". Hopefully you guys can show the South up again like the Northern squad did on Sunday, be great to see:)

  13. Agree Captain, it wasn't as if the Sharks were bombarding the Gers goal all second half, the recovery seemed to burst when Mark tapped in the 5th to make it 5 - 2, would have been a good time to spell Pooley for Sundays game???

Oh well, clean those undies up and wait for the finals, should get some game time then
    :)
