  5. thoughts on the tasmanian side playing central coast mariners on july 27th at kgv??? who from the north would be in your side?

  6. I guess there are two schools of thought, either select an experienced, competitive squad, or pick youngsters with potential who might show something (but would be in a uncompetitive team)? I would go with mainly experienced, physically capable, better players.

So, in MY OPINION ONLY the better players in North who should at least try out are as follows.

    Bobby Eaves (Somerset)
    Chris Smith (Burnie)
    Kaimon Johnson (Burnie)
    Brayden Mann (Ulverstone)
    Chris McKenna (Devonport)
    Sam Hughes (Riverside)
    Rob Hughes (Riverside)
    Todd Hingston (Rangers)
    Derek Schipper (Rangers)
    Daren Pooley (Rangers)
    Sam Luck (Rangers)
    Antonio Macri (City)
    Mark Baker (Knights)
    Greg Duffy (Knights)

Sorry for those who I have left out, but I would expect the South to have 9 and North 6, so many of these would miss out anyway?

City 1-0? or 2-1? apparantly they scored the winner in the last minute. (or so I think I heard when I was drunk...)

  11. Looking at Beardy79 s youtube footage looks like knights looked robbed of 2 clearcut penaltys late in the 2nd 1/2.
Wasn't a ex devonport ref was it ?
maybe the video footage can be showed to the refs to try and improve there game ??
good stuff Beardy79 what game you doing this week ?
Are you doing the under 20 game and state game ?

  12. pretty sure devonport have been getting so lucky all year with gay shit like that.

  13. I'll do my best to film the Under 20's game on Sunday and i'm pretty sure Mr Video will cover the state game next Tuesday in Hobart. The Burnie v Clarence game on Saturday is a little too far away for me.

I'll also be at the City v Rangers game on the 31st as it's the only game in Launceston that week.

  15. No rangers named in the state squad ??
Wasnt Todd the capt last yr ?
Has the coach asked em not to nominate so theres no injurys for the run into the title.
    CAPT AUS would know ??????????

  16. story is that rangers players who might make the side were carrying knocks and/or would not be available on the night - so none nominated.

  17. Red Bull, Amazed is correct. Marshall Pooley hasnt trained since the Ulverstone game in the first half of the year when he got his corked thigh and had to go to Hospital to have it released, He only plays at present never trains to try and get him through the year.

Des has just been managing an injury and didnt even get through 30 minutes against Ulverstone last week.

Hingston would be lucky to train once a week, and is managing his injuries also, let alone get to state training.

We are not scared to supply our senior players for state duty, both Stefan Jago and Declan Cuscheiri were nomintated for under 20's, however Stefan tore hammy against Ulvie also. Declan will play. Guess its bad timing for us this time around, rangers have always had a strong numbers in rep squads, this year hasnt worked out.

  20. Good to see Burnie finally living up to the hype I gave them pre-season, a great win against Devonport at Valley Rd, and now that means congrats to Rangers winning the league again (well, close enough now to call)
    :)

Now, I guess no-one visits this site much anymore, but if you do, I am sorry, but I am going to bag our standard again?

I witnessed the Sharks - Launnie game today, didnt expect a great game as not the strongest of teams but it wasn't worthy of being a Premier league game, in fact it was bl**dy terrible to say the least.

CAPTAIN the standard is not good mate, if thats a Premier league game then our league is in BIG TROUBLE, maybe the top few teams are traveling OK, but I have never in my life witnessed a poorer standard game in the seniors over the past 35 years???

Three defensive errors from Sharks gave Launnie a 3 - 0 half time advantage. Probably six passes found team mates during first half (from both sides), yes the pitch was sh*t, but its a winter sport and players adapt (or used to)???

Second half Sharks totally dominated and scored four, could have been much more, but they won, and thats all you could say about the game.

It was continually riddled with errors, pathetic passing, and ZERO skill for majority of match (passion was there from both, but thats all).

You can shoot me down, but I was there and extremely disappointed SORRY BUT IT HAS TO BE SAID???

  21. Hey Bad Boy, I like the look of my $20 on Burnie for the premiership, seems Sam has got them rolling together at last.
Rangers to play Sharks yet? could be an upset on the cards! A draw would leave it up to the last game again, funnier things have happened!

  22. Since they can't win, I'd be regretting that $20 nigel. They have been playing some good football though, and should definitely push next year. As for the Sharks...they play well at home, and anything could happen, but we're just praying it doesn't. a premiership bus-trip could be prettttty fun!
