  1. 2nd time round may bring some different results?

Burnie 4 - 0 over United (hopefully no more red cards this year Burnie)

Sharks 1 - 1 draw with Ulvie (Brayden misses out this week)?

    River 2 - 0 over City

Knights 1 - 1 with Gers (Duffy to score)

Now then, that tightens up the top group even more :)

  2. great work with the highlights package from knights/city match beardo...very even game too for the most part.

very tight season and it'll be interesting to see if teams do learn/change anything from first round encounters.

Burnie easily - LUtd worse than last yr.
    Ulvy...maybe
River easily - no Macri for a few weeks i'd suggest.
Knights to look to improve on first round hammerring to the gers...too close to call (not sure if your mate Duffy will play tho Bad Boy)

  3. Beardo film the Knights game? was a good job!
I said at the begining of the year that 4 or 5 teams would be well in the hunt in the last couple of rounds, and it looks like that will be the case.

Burnie will bounce back against Launny
Ulvie will have no dramas against the sharks
River will have no problems against City, unfortunatly for the Black and white, if MAcri doesnt play, neither does the rest of them, poor bloke, fine player, Throup wont creat goals on his own.
Rangers Knights will be a fine game, we got lucky first round of the season with Knights still getting settled, Im sure this will go down to the wire, would like to think the Gers can get the job done though. loser of this one is going to find it hard, with thier destiny in someones elses hands from that game on.

  4. Sorry badboy but twang is right! Poor bloke is hobbling around on crutches, and told me he'd miss at least 2-3 more weeks. Best luck to him! As for the games...come along and watch Gers Vs Kites at 6.30 saturday, definately match of the round!!! The others are pretty much determined already!

  5. Big loss for Knights then, hope he recovers soon? Maybe Pip and Tim can change up a gear and still keep it close??

  6. At the end of rd 1 :
we have the top 2 in Rangers and Devonport looking to fight out the title again , with plenty of numbers coming through there clubs they look like the power houses 4 yrs to come,
3rd:Ulverstone sitting the highest they have been in sometime and with good young list and moving the ball rd really well and have a good stiker in THE MAN are looking good to fill up the top 4.
4TH:Prospect Knights a tuff team to play these days with a lot of men behind the ball and good counter attacking and are a good unit, with a few inclusions they have a bit of depth with there ressies sitting 2nd by 1 pt can take pts off any1 home and away this yr.
5TH:Riverside Olympic only 4 pts off the top have a good young side but probably do with a experienced midfielder and top stiker with only 18 goals for this yr, they are good defensively
6TH: Burnie United well all the talk at the start of the yr was "Burnie flag Favs" with a new coach coming in and good recruiting, but nothing much has changed with to many yellow/red cards and ray parke still in the coaches box, ressies going well a is positive, and cant see them going past the semis in the statewide cup.
7TH: Somerset probably where they thought they would be this yr with a mass player shortage are playing a young team ,there ressies have not won a game and unders 18s are very young 14-15 yrs olds, long yr for the sharks.
8TH: Launceston City A new coach in and a few older imports hasn't done much for city this yr with only 1 win ,sticking with a 4-3-3 might score a few goals in the 2nd 1/2 of the yr (if the diver can stay on the park )
LAST :Launceston United nothing to be said

whats everyone think on how the yr will pan out ??
Is there a final 4 again this yr??
Is the north/south challenge back on ??
Is there a State final for the top the north vs south ?
can the north/north west win the STATEWIDE CUP??
    your thoughts :)

  7. Sharks 3-2 over Ulvie in last 10 mins
Long range shot ulvie up 1-0 at half time sharks scored after half time 1 all Mann with a cracker from outside the box to be 2-1 up but eaves boys made it 3-2 with bobby direct off a corner and danny after a thru ball

  8. Rangers beat Kites 1-0. Cracking shot from Toddy Hingston in the first half. Rangers held on for the win. Kites a bloody hard team!!!

    Burnie only beat Launnie 3-1
and River had a good 5-1 win over City.

  9. I like your summary red bull. Pretty accurate!!! Yes we are having the final 4 again this year, I haven't heard ANYTHING about a north vs south this year, or even an A league game. I could see devonport getting over South, but they would have to be at their best, and push up the park and make sure south don't dictate the game. If South dictate, they win. They don't like when they have to change their style. nuff said!!!

  10. Final 4 nearly decided after this week, but top spot still anyone's guess at this stage, as one slip up may decide title? New premiership book as follows.

    Rangers 1 -1
    Devonport 5 - 4
    Knights, Riverside 6 - 4
    Ulverstone 6 - 1
    Burnie 10 - 1
    Somerset 20 - 1
    City 66 - 1
    Launceston 500 - 1

  11. not much value city at 66-1. knights probably lost thier chance last night so at 6-4 my moneys in my pocket. poor launceston at 500-1, is that because your computer will only list two zeros or do you believe they have some hope.nah i think you meant, write your own ticket.

  13. hey todd, ulvie game was good game to play in with both teams in it right till the fianl whistle with a game of end to end football, Ulv scored first after a clearance ended went to Ben Foote at top of the box and he volleyed thru a maze of players to go in 1-0, after half time Danny scored after the ulv keeper failed to clear and danny dispossed and ran in to open goal then Mann scored a cracker from the top of the box in off the right post to give ulvie 2-1, sharks won a corner which bobby scored direct from the kick and then with about 10 left danny ran onto a flick on by wellsy to make it 3-2 and a nervous 5 mins to the end wiht sharks holding on

  14. so wellsy is still getting a kick? shambles

  15. Wouldn't write Knights off just yet Beckam, still a solid team and all top teams have made slip ups in first round, so anyone of top 4 (or maybe 5) still an outside chance. I really cant split top 4 teams at moment as all great on their day??

Probably should have last two teams at double (or triple) there quotes, but doesn't look nice and even my old Sharks mathematically have a show, but would need full squad each week, heaps of upsets each week and return to top form and consistancy (next loss will see them completely out of premiers race.
    :(
