  1. Some tips:
Clarence United too good for University 3-1
Northern Rangers to beat Knights again: 2-0
Zebras to beat Olympic even though they'll have to travel and olympic's form in the cup has been good: 3-0
Somerset V Glenorchy closest game of the round for me 2-2 (kights on penalties)

  4. Where have all the supporters of the blog gone???

Everyone crying out for a blog, it gets delivered then people stop posting?

Not me, I will continue to post!

Tought Games to tip, I would suggest a lot of supprise results come sat arvo!

Northern Rangers V Prospect Knights will be the toughest to pick. Knights have 3 out and 2 back I hear, depends on who goes out as to how it affects their Chances. I reckon Harris was the missing link on Saturday night, and having him back will make a huge difference.

Sa'ad going with the Rangers Under 23's this week. Not because we dont care about the cup either, just incase anyone suggests thats why. But Ros knows the importance of youth development, and giving the young fellows a chance to shine is an admirable decision. I believe they can mix it with the Knights, but wouldnt dare say they have it in the bag. Rangers have a few missing over the next few weeks, so its a fine opportunity to see who is up to the task of coming into the side. I shall obstain from tipping this one.

Riverside Olympic V Tilford Zebras at Windsor park will no doubt be a one way battle, but all depends on who the Zebs take north. River not doing to bad ths year, but as earlier pointed out on this blog, River have only beaten the 4 teams below them this year, so the signs are not particularly good coming up against argually the second best team in the state after a rampaging Glenorchy Knights! But go River, do it for the north, River 1-0?

Somerset V Glenorchy Knights! I cant tips the sharks after Burnie beat them at home, sorry but you cant lose to Burnie and expect to defeat Glenorchy Knights this year, in what they regard as "their" tournament after their great Milan!
Having said that, with three southerners in their side (SHarks) the southern boys will be up for this one, and it may just be enough to get them over the line, lacking quality keeper will possibly cost them dearly. Knights 3-1

Clarence will smash Uni when ever the game gets played

  9. Good job to the Rangers youngens! good to get a result without your guns, the youth of the club certainly stepped up to the plate.

I tip Rangers Vs Clarence and Sharks Vs Zebs to come out of the hat!, hope the northerners can get the home games!!!! then a all northern Final, dont see any point to keep the southernes in it!!

  10. a good effort from the river boys yday by the sounds of it...looking forward to playing them in our league fixture nxt wk, always a good battle and river a highly underrated team...even tho they havn't beaten a side above them yet this yr
excellent win from the sharks over our hobart brothers. a 4hr bus ride would've been fun!
pretty good game btween rangers and PK, rangers just seeming to do enough each week to win. would've liked Knights to have taken the early chances we created - might've been a totally different game.

  13. Well, well, interesting !! I would like to have been a fly on the wall at the draw. It seems that there is a need to have to play the Semi's mid week with the A League match scheduled. Now 2 interesting questions, 1 - Sharks have no lights so where will this match be played? It will be interesting to see if it gets moved, so much for home ground?
2 - It would have been even more interesting if it had been North v South games, how would this work out mid week!!.
Seems the luck (!) of the draw has got FFT out of a bind they created.
I await the venue for the North match.

On a seperate issue isn't it the norths turn to host the final? Where will it be?

  14. Nigel my understanding is that the 2 mens semis are to be held on Saturday July 25th Somerset v Rangers at Cardigan Street and Zebras v Clarence in Hobart.

It will mean that the players involved in the North v South game the next day will have to back up. Not the first time it will happen and something we have to live with.

Where does your intel re a mid week game come from, first Ive heard of it??
