    laun utd 0 - river 5
    rangers 4 - bur 0
good close comp this yr !
watched rangers v dev last week very good game rangers prob should have won it( bloke with the drum in the gordan rimmer stand was a treat ),
Didnt realise how poor burnie is this yr.
Is ray parke still in charge? (2wins 6 losses)

  3. agree with you red bull, buti think port will beat knights by two or three, although ulverstone have improved, somerset by two or three, launnie united to get pumped and burnie to go down again by a few. yes red bull, ray parke is still at the helm.i watched the burnie-ulvie game last weekend, and burnie were very lucky it wasnt 6 or 7 nil, ulvie played well but burnie were poor.Gezza, its obvious you are an ulvie boy!

  4. Good result by Ulvie last week but wont tip over a rejuvinated Sharks outfit, Sharks 3-1

    Dev 3-1 over Knights.

Rangers in strife this week with no less than 3 out and one more under a cloud still should acount for Burnie 3-1

River to hand Launny a small hidding 4-0

  5. CA - you underestimate the 2009 Gers mate, if the Johnson boys are out for Burnie you may get your 7 - 0 record you were after the other week, if they play a 4 - 2 win?

Devonport and Knights 2 - 2 will be great game?

River 5 - 1 over United, maybe not Greg Duffy this week though Twang?

Sharks 2 - 0 over Ulverstone, but will have to work hard?

  6. yes that is true henry... maybe 2-0 is a bit ambitious but we'll see on saturday.. hopefully the boys will pull off a good result.

  7. True Bad boy, but we have some serious injuries and unavailablities this week, and history would dictate we struggle when there are alot missing. Boys are playing well, and you can never right Burnie off..... EVER!!!!! our out are as follows:
25 Sam Nugteren (NA Rd 10)
    11 Gareth Otley (O/Seas)
    10 Derek Schipper (Inj)
    21 Paul Bremner (Inj)
24 Ben DeRuiter (NA Rd 10-11)but hasnt played seniors!
    3 Chad Honey (Susp)
    5 Rohan Pooley (Knee)
Plus one more under a cloud, would be foolish of me o out him here as that could attract un wanted attention, but there is a struggler in there desperate not to miss out!!!

Hard to cover 4 senior outs and a couple who have backed up on the bench, depth under pressure, but it is encouraging to see some youngsters getting a run, and most of all, the Great man TT returns to the starters list for the first time this year!!! can you believe!!!!

  8. Gers have good depth, we have played last 3 games without 4 or 5 seniors as well, and actually got results, as i am sure you guys will. TT will help immensely, but you have some great under's and some exceptional reserves that won't let you guys down.

All depends on Kaimon and Astyn, if they play this week it will be hard, if they are out, just look at last weeks game v Ulverstone. Ashley and Gibbo cant do it all themselves??

  10. Another penalty to Toddles, way to go :)
CA - did the Johnson's play?

Great win by Knights (still rate them as one of the best this year), we now need several other teams to start getting results v Gers, otherwise its over for 2009, maybe Knights can get us all going?

Didn't think Greg could score two weeks running, but at least United starting to find the net, keep it up guys, its a long hard haul, but will pay off in the long term :)

Sharks get another win (a bit close, but told we may have missed a few others???), need to keep working hard guys and you get the results, way to go - sorry I can't be there with you :(

  11. Bad Boy,

    One Johnson played.

Good game for the Rangers, good to see Michael Townsend finsih some fine goals, from last years Under 18's. Infact, three of last years Unders played on saturday, which is what its all about yeah? getting your youth on the park as soon as possible.

Well Done to Huddo and the boys at Knights, another fine effort when few believed they could, myself included!

Makes for a rather massive game on Saturday now! If Knights win she is as wide open a race as its been for some time! I Guess I hope not though!

  12. Great to see the young guns getting their chances CA, good to know that you can fall back onto them when the "older" guys are injured:)

Be a fantastic game on Saturday, hopefully not spiteful, just some fast, top class football, special skills, with great passing and some crisp finishing?

    Tipping 2 - 2 draw already

  13. Yeah definately a big game this Saturday night that will have an affect on both Devonport & Somerset.

Wouldn't be surprised if a few of the port boys stuck around after their game to cheer on the Knights.

  15. Just saw on Walters blog that Roslan has been appointed coach of the Northern team, didnt even know he had applied, or are they approached?? Will do a good job

    ReplyDelete
  16. i reckon he will to. as long as the north win, and kelly (ballbag) looses it'll be a brilliant weekend

    ReplyDelete
  17. They have been putting thoughts on the possible Southern side starting lineup over on Walter's Site. How about the North? Assuming everyone was available & fit, who would start?

  18. This is a bit of a whinge but one that's warranted I think. Might not be their fault depending on when they received the report but The Advocate putting the write up in today and butchering it is pretty slack. One minute there's a sentence on the Dev - Knights game, then the very next sentence, Roach scored a great goal. Footey is a bit more literate than that!! Good one Advocate.
