  1. How disappointing, 58 followers and no one can bother to talk up their team.
We wonder why our league is struggling, we need to get more involved if we want to see our sport progress and challenge the oval ball for publicity and support.
So saying, I am impressed with the Sharks season, after losing their top 6 Unders who should have walked into the seniors this year, the coach has promoted 5 other unders to regular spots and blooded another 3 or 4. How our season might have been different if we had retained those 6 as not only the seniors but also the unders would have been much stronger.

Like most clubs we are now seeking a new club coach, there are very few available yet they are so important to the future of our clubs.

Good luck to the top 4 in the finals, while the Sharks might not make it there in 2011 we will certainly be aiming to join in in 2012.

In the meantime anyone interested in the coaching job give me a call.

  2. Nigel keeping this forum busy has nothing for the improvement of the league.Having good coaches is very important for the improvement of players and the league but if you look around however new coaches hardly appear and I am talking about real quality.
I have missed most games in the second round of the competition but w2atched the last two games of Burnie and was impressed by the improvement of their standard.
We would all like to see a better standard but when clubs get a real quality player then he would move on to greener pastures.
As for the unders I sympathise with you but every club has this problem as when they come of age they move on to Uni or travel and while it is great to have them, we also expect to lose some of them and hope that in time they will return to their mother club.
wish you and your club all the best.
