  1. Hi all, I just had to see this "new" site for myself, couldn't keep away. Looks as if now you have to register the comments have slowed and aren't as bad as in the past.

I would expect Rangers to defeat Ulvie again, but if they drop their guard and allow an early Ulvie goal, could be a big upset on the cards.

Riverside will nearly start favorites against us, if its not injuries or work commitments, now its the bl#@*dy flu. However we thought that last week, and I am sure that we will give them a run for their money, and hopefully can get a couple of players back soon?

Derby's throw up surprising results, but I think that the Knights are a great team, and play some good football, and should win against City?

Devonport might re-write the history books after last weeks surprising loss and set a new scoring record against Launceston, wouldn't want to be in their boots this week, Tommy would have worked their butts off and read the riot act I would think?

    Catch you all later

  5. Tips:

Ulverstone 1 Rangers 1 - no real basis to this other than Ulverstone keen to improve on SWC performance and Rangers due for a below par performance.

Riverside 2 Somerset 1 - another tight one here so i'll go for the home side.

City 1 Knights 2 - Knights to rebound after their loss last week

Devonport 5 Launceston 0 - Would Utd be happy with only 5??? this could be a cricket score.

  6. I don't think ulvy can quite do enough to win this one against rangers...agreed that having played them only a coupla weeks ago they're more of a sniff this time but rangers seem to always win matches by small margins against decent teams and will again - 85+ min winner fron the boys from NTCA, not for the first time...but they'll get found out fairly soon!

River improving their results sheet more and more every week and a travelling sharks outfit could be in for another tough one...4-3 sharks, both have leaky defences but somerset stronger going forward.

City vs knights always a tight affair and city have had the better of the results recently. Early goals the order of the day, could be a large score at the postage stamp that is Mitsubishi Park - I'm tipping Beardwood for Knights to get on the score sheet from GK (he's doing pretty much everything else)
    5-1 Knights

Dev by heaps...line 'em up fellas. Huge call at the start of the year by B Dracup that L'ton United WOULDN'T finish 9th...signs aren't good!

  7. Gremlin, I will take you out to lunch if River beat Sharks!!!! Agree River are going well, but I think people are failing to Give Somerset credit this year, and they will be hard to beat from here on in! Somerest 3-1!

City have more chance of bumping their bums on the moon this week than beating knights, Huddos boys ready to return to the winners list and give City some payback! 3-0 Knights!

Rangers and Ulv set to be a close one, Ulvie are a better side than the SWC score represented, just pushed out by a better defense and fell victim to some unusualy good Ranger finishing. Bremner back this game though, so could still see Rangers home despite some odd changes to the senior line up this week? 2-1 Rangers

I dont know where Launny will find a point im sorry, however, they did hold the better Devonport team of last year to a 11th hour 1-0 win! could they go one better this year? not with out Rumble!!!! 6-0 Dev!

  8. Ulverstone Vs Rangers should be another good game but ulverstone will be looking to turn the defeat in the SWC around. Rangers playing good football and looking like going on to win the league but im picking an upset... ulv 2-1.

Somerset should be able to follow up on their tight win last week against Knights. Riverside are playing well but Somerset have too much class.

Im picking a 1-1 draw between City and Prospect. I think City will be looking to turn in a better performance this week and i think Prospect need to pick up their game a bit more.

Devonport to easily account for Launie United. Could see double figures this week. Just way too good for a struggling United.

  10. CA, what was the "commotion" after the seniors? Hopefully not too serious? Easy win or hard fought and even like our match?

  11. Bad Boy, Nothing mutch mate, Rangers conceeded a free kick just outside the area in the dying minutes, Rangers setting a wall and Ulvie were trying o bust it uo when someone elbowed Des in the prosess, he went down, lots of people every where, alot of comotion, and alot of s*&@ went down, good little scuffle broke out and Decani just sent the closest two players to him off as a warning shot, refereeing was below par to say the least! we all had a beer after wards, best scuffle ive seen for a while, made it worth the 6bucks entry atleast!

Sorry to upset all you tipstas with a win to the ranger army, guess we will have to wait another week to see if we can slip up for you all to Dev who already have their fair share of titles? Very happy with the way the lads played today!!! well done M'boys!

Well done Set, and Knights!(I love it when City lose!) Devo, guess you just did the business this week! some one needs to get Launny back up and fireing, I mean this with every bone in my body, AS A COMPETITION, WE MUST ENSURE LAUNCESTON GET THROUGH THIS LOW AND RETURN TO THE WINNER LIST, WE CAN NOT AFFORD A TEAM TO DISAPEAR IF A STATE LEAGUE IS EVER TO BE ON THE CARDS!

  12. CA - Maybe if the Gers beat Devonport next week, you guys could have a "bad day" and give Launceston the win they need (for the betterment of the game)?
    :)

Was it close v Ulvie yesterday or one way traffic?

  13. Reasonable game, we smashed out two goals in the first 10 minutes, Ulvie got back into the game and I was saying in the second half, if they score here, we are gonna be in for one heck of a finish, thankfully, Pooley made two or three brilliant saves, and a clean sheet prevailed, got a late goal to cap it off! They (ulvie) are a good side, just lack an out and out striker!

If you want to see some truley great pictures, head to our face book group at http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=7295211094&ref=nf There are some brilliant pics of the melee too!!! quite funny actually!!!, can see the stray elbow that started it all!

  14. Schipper went down like a wet sack of spuds! His act started the whole thing. What doesn't make sense is Beardy was next to him in the wall and Beardy is the nicest bloke you'll meet. Go figure?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Just to add, as CA said, great scrap though!!!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Smithy, Perhaps he did, but when you dont expect it, it doesnt take that much, Beardy no in the picture 3 seconds after the event. First picture of a series of four on Norther Rangers web site shows that event, and there is a rather guilty looking individual standing right there!!!!! clearly not Beardy!

Maybe the governess could post that picture just for the fun of it?

    find it at http://www.northernrangers.com/reports.html

Nice to see all left it on the grass blades!

  17. Just for interest sake, Des is rapped around the said players leg on closer inspection of the picture!!! hahaha busted!

  18. Good photo's of the event. Didn't think Beardy would have much to do with it! Trying to work out why there were so many ulvie players in the opposing wall!!!

  19. Thanks for the photo's Governess / CA, did not have a clue how to get onto "Face book", too old to understand much more than i do about computers, this is hard enough
    :)

Mele looked a bit messy, and maybe David could have got in there and positioned himself in between players to stop it escalating, where were his assistants, aren't they supposed to also come in and help stop these things happening??? Oh, sorry that was back in the "old days" when referees had more hands on control and less "political correctness", part of their theory lessons now days???

It was good to see both teams had players willing to back there team mates up, and only one from each team sent off, bet the one who initiated missed the card, they usually do???

  20. they sure did kev.i was standing 3 odd meters behind the wall and saw the punch in the back and the stomp.not sure why he did it but the resulting hugging was good for a laugh.

smithy not sure why you guys had so many in the wall.must have been a set play?

  22. Hey CA - Been looking at those photo's again, and I just noticed something - did anyone eventually pick Schipper up, or is he still lying there on the ground (its raining cats and dogs mate), maybe I had better race over and take a blanket and some food for him? :)
