I Have Been Asked to Post This Information On Up coming Referee Courses In The North West
While the numbers of officials available in the North of the state is slowly increasing,
there is still the need from time to time for club members to act as referees or
assistant referees at matches.
FFT have organised two courses to give clubs an opportunity to contribute to relieving
the problems we all are facing in official numbers
Wednesday May 7th Introduction to Officiating
Devonport Strikers Club House
6:00pm – 9:00pm
A short course to give those who occasionally act as
referees sufficient information to carry out that role
effectively.

NW Referee Level 4
Great to see a course on a night that players are available, however why at Devonport?. Surely a NW course could be a liitle more central, Devonport is 40 minutes from Somerset.
ReplyDeleteStill lets hope we get a fair few there.
Ah, so much effort for so little result !
ReplyDelete6 attendees including me and another level 4 ref who brought a mate.
None of the other 4 indicated a desire to be reffing mens soccer so we are no closer to getting more refs yet.
When will clubs be interested?, probably not until they tell clubs they must supply 2 level 4 refs when nominating teams.
Its going to happen.
I have noticed that clubs don't seem to care who fulfills duties now as I hear lots of complaints about club linesmen and refs as some clubs are now offering money to volenteers who aren't up to standard but it allows clubs to fulfill there obligations to FFT.
This may start creating some problems, so i urge clubs to take some care with this situation.
